THE REEL HAPPY STRING & SWING BAND (RHS&SB) has been performing over the last eighteen years in the Detroit Metropolitan area for many occasions and venues such as: concerts, anniversaries, grand openings, weddings and public and private parties. The band plays acoustically, or may use a small, moderate, or large sound system to match the sound to the occasion. We most often perform as a four or five-piece band. The RHS&SB has provided a soloist or a two-piece band when requested by clients. The RHS&SB draws from the roots of American music specializing in the music of the 1920-1945 eras.

STYLES PERFORMED: Old Jazz, Dixieland, Jazz, Irish, Swing, Cowboy, Oldtime String, and Traditional American.

INSTRUMENTATION may include: Trombone, Trumpet, Dulcimer, Guitar, Mandolin, Clarinet, Acoustic Bass, Piano, Penny Whistle, Banjo, Sax, Violin , Washboard .
