Katie Zimmer, flutist and piccoloist, holds a Master's Degree in flute performance from Michigan State University, where she studied with Richard Sherman. Other teachers include Christopher Kantner, Ervin Monroe, and Joanna White. Ms. Zimmer also spent a semester studying flute with Robert Wolf in Vienna, Austria.

Ms. Zimmer enjoys performing a wide variety of music, especially music of the 20th and 21st centuries and chamber music of all eras. In addition to her solo work, she is also part of a flute duo and a flute and oboe duo.
